What is the difference between fixed and adjustable emitters?
Fixed emitters deliver one set flow rate (e.g. 2 or 4 L/h) and are cheapest for uniform crops. Adjustable emitters let you dial the flow (0–16 L/h) for mixed plantings — ideal for containers and raised beds.
How often should drip emitters be replaced?
Quality emitters last 3–5 years. Replace when flow drops visibly or clogs recur after flushing — usually every 2–3 years in hard-water areas.
Do I need pressure-compensating emitters?
If your site is flat and under 50 m of line, standard emitters are fine. For slopes, long runs or drip tape with varying elevation, PC emitters keep flow uniform across the whole line.
